Nameday

Dimitris nameday today... But no interest of anyone to celebrate... During last two weeks Dimitris is at home, he can move only with the help of his mother or myself, or with a wheelchair, but most importantly he has lost any interest on anything... it looks like he doesn't care anymore... He just stopped fighting... My little boy, after 11 months of hard fight, is too tired to fight more... Who can blame him???

During last weeks we have been in contact with the only palliative care organization in Greece... Doctors told us that palliation is the only way from here... Dimitris cannot survive... At least, we have to make his last weeks as comfortable and easy as possible... How easy it is for a parent to write these words??? And how possible is it to accept them??? We are getting ready for the worse, but we still hope for the best...
